Seems like a good product- Not enough wire for Quad Cab or Bigger...???

I bought a 2013 Dodge Ram Quad Cab and for some reason trucks now are built so high with many blind spots. This seems like a good solution for backing up.This seems like an overall good product. Makes backing up much easier. The only downfall when buying this camera is the wire that comes with the camera. It is too short for trucks that are Quad Cabs or bigger. Most trucks now are 4 doors so I find it strange that they include such a short wire. Did not know that when I bought it. You can order an extra length of wire by calling 1 800 835-0129.
Just wired up!

I got this on sale for a great price. I wired it to a 2013 F-150 Crew Cab 5'5" box. It is amazing that there is nothing to splice and it connects very simply with existing trailer jack. It is a T-adapter that wires between the truck and the connector so both of your trailer pins still work perfectly. I had just enough wire to run the monitor on the driver side dash directly out the firewall and to the rear of the vehicle. If you have a longer vehicle you will probably be short on cable. The monitor comes on when you put the vehicle in reverse and has a great picture on the screen. I had it all wired and adjusted in 1 hour being very picky about wiring and doing it on my back in the driveway! Great product.
Wish these had come out years ago.

I just installed this on a 10' F-150 crew, it works as good as any factory installed sensor/back up camera system. It took about 30 minutes and it was up and running. Love it!
Perfect for Towing and Everyday Use!!!!!

The camera installation at first scared me because I have a 2013 Ram and Dodge has always had a different wire harness than Chevy or Ford but It was a snap.
The camera and proximity sensors mount like any other license plate bracket so that was really easy.
The supplied Plug connectors is what worried me but I just unplugged the factory plug from vehicle 7 way plug and plugged in the T-Connector which powered the camera and sensors. (no wires for me to cut)
Then I just ran the wires under the truck along the frame until I found an entry way into the cab of the vehicle. I than ran the wire under the trim to up under the dash to an exit point that was close to the camera.
The camera screen is just the right size and being a full color screen helps a lot. The proximity sensors work great to let you know when you are too close to something.
I rate this product 5 out of 5 stars for ease of installation, quality and easy to use.
